This Privacy Policy explains how Resumie ("we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and protects your personal information when you use our website and tools, including the Portfolio Prompt Generator and our email newsletter. By using our website, you agree to the practices described here.

1. Who we are

Information you give us

Email address. We ask for your email before you use the Portfolio Prompt Generator, and to send you our newsletter and marketing messages.
Your consent status. We record that you agreed to receive marketing emails and the date you agreed.

Information that stays on your device

Generator answers. The details you type into the Portfolio Prompt Generator (your name, services, projects, contact details, and so on) are processed in your browser to build your prompt. We do not send this content to our servers or store it after you leave the page.
Local preferences. We use your browser's local storage to remember your theme choice (light or dark) and that you have unlocked the generator on that device.

Information collected automatically

Basic, non-identifying usage counts, such as how many times a tool has been used. These are anonymous and are not linked to you.

3. How we use your information

To give you access to the Portfolio Prompt Generator and other tools.
To send you our newsletter, tips, product updates, and marketing messages that you consented to receive.
To respond to your questions and requests.
To maintain, protect, and improve our website and services.

4. Legal basis and your consent

We process your email address on the basis of your consent, which you give when you tick the boxes on the signup form. You can withdraw your consent at any time. Withdrawing consent does not affect processing that already happened before you withdrew it.

EmailJS, which we use to deliver email messages. Your email is processed through their service so we can contact you.
Our hosting provider, which serves the website to you.

We keep your email address for as long as you are subscribed. If you unsubscribe or ask us to delete your data, we will remove it from our active lists within a reasonable period, unless we are required to keep it by law.

As a data subject under Republic Act No. 10173, you have the right to:

Access the personal data we hold about you.
Ask us to correct inaccurate or outdated data.
Object to processing, and to withdraw your consent.

8. How to unsubscribe

You can unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time by using the unsubscribe link in any email we send, or by emailing us directly. We will action your request promptly.

9. Cookies and local storage

We do not use advertising or third-party tracking cookies. We use your browser's local storage only for your theme preference and to remember that you unlocked the generator. You can clear this at any time through your browser settings.

10. Data security

We use reasonable organizational and technical measures to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

11. Third-party AI tools

The prompt you generate is meant to be pasted into third-party AI tools and website builders, such as Claude, ChatGPT, Lovable, Framer, or Wix. Anything you paste into those tools is governed by their own privacy policies and terms, not ours.

12. Children

Our tools are intended for people who are at least 18 years old. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has given us their information, please contact us and we will delete it.

13. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will change the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Significant changes may also be announced by email.
